In 2016 a target for new homes construction was set by the GSC for councils in the greater Sydney region, aiming to build 39 850 new homes between 2016 and 2021 and the target is well on track to be reached. There is still land and space available for new builds, unlike areas such as Mosman which has seen less than 300 new homes built in the last 6 years.
